A SAD STATE OF AFFAIRS..!

Aside from passion, experience & (technical) skills, over the past few years the nightlife scene - on a global scale - has been lacking simple attributes & values such as creativity, diversity & professionalism along with honesty & most importantly respect - due to uneducated &/or ego-driven personalities - evidently from both sides of the spectrum: artists (dancers/entertainers/musicians/DJs), e.g. my previous post about Jamie Jones' recent word of advise & venue operators, e.g. the unfortunate incident that occurred the other night @ Mansion Nightclub in Miami, when well-respected DJ/Producer Dennis Ferrer was kicked off the decks by management, just short of an hour into his set... A SAD STATE OF AFFAIRS..! 1 LUV d(-_-)b

YEP..! Much R.E.S.P.E.C.T. to Jamie Jones for his recent post: "Here's some advice for all upcoming DJs: Hacking, Ripping, stealing and trading unreleased and unfinished tracks from labels and artists you like and playing them out will not get you a successful career in music. You HAVE to create your own definition of House Music. I will NEVER be impressed by a dj who plays before me in a club who has a bunch of music they should not have, rather than a bunch of new or old records that I missed out on, or am yet to discover. What you're doing is cheating, and there are NO shortcuts in life and definitely not in this game. I can't wait to hear new talet who have spent the time looking through the thousands of amazing records that are out there, rather than the cheapskates who have stolen other peoples property... I'm rarely outspoken about these things, but I hope this makes people think a little... Peace :)"...

This is about stealing artists' unfinished ideas to look cool and trading them as commodities.
